Welcome to the Guardian Trust Foundation, Inc.

About Us

We are a Florida‑based, 501(c)3, not‑for‑profit corporation.  Our purpose is to support individuals with disabilities and other tax‑exempt organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.

We have been fulfilling our mission since 2002 by raising funds through public donations and program fees through the Special Needs Trusts we administer.  We have donated millions of dollars to other tax-exempt organizations serving individuals with special needs. Review some of the organizations we have supported.

Safeguards

We pride ourselves on upholding a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and securing client assets.

Our primary focus is administering and overseeing Special Needs Trusts, a specialized task for which we collaborate with industry experts.

We engage the services of CBIZ MHM LLC, the 5th largest tax, accounting, and consulting provider in Tampa Bay and 10th largest in the country, for auditing our financial statements. For more information, visit www.cbiz.com.

Additionally, we work with James Moore and Co., a renowned public accounting and consulting firm specializing in non-profit accounting, bookkeeping, and advisory support. Learn more at www.jmco.com.

The Guardian Trust Foundation board, led by trustees and external directors, oversees our internal controls, policies, and audits to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and accountability in our services.

The foundation as well as its trust services provider maintains a financial insurance bond and comprehensive insurance coverage.

Assets are invested through independent brokers, offering additional security and stability for our beneficiaries’ investments, including coverage under SIPC (Securities Investor Protection Corporation) insurance. The trust holds its deposits with Regions Bank, a commercial bank of high credit quality; providing FDIC insurance coverage up to $250,000 per trust beneficiary.

IRS Form 990 is a valuable tool for stakeholders, donors, and the public to evaluate a non-profit organization’s financial and operational performance, governance practices, and impact on the community. We invite you to review our most recent 990’s.

Understanding your assets, their custodial location, investment strategy, and risk level is crucial. Our dedicated management team and staff diligently adhere to best practices to safeguard our clients’ assets daily.
